Plexiglass glazing, also called acrylic glazing, is a lightweight and shatter-resistant alternative to traditional picture frame glass. We cut each sheet to your exact dimensions, including fractional sizes, for both standard and non-standard frames.

Plexiglass options for custom framing

Regular Plexiglass (.098)

Clear acrylic with strong visibility and a clean, crisp look. This is a great everyday option for family photos, posters, and general wall décor.

Non-glare Plexiglass (.098)

Designed to reduce glare from bright windows and overhead lights. This is helpful in sunny rooms and offices, with the tradeoff of a softer image appearance versus regular clear plexiglass.

UV Filtering Plexiglass (.098)

Helps block about 98% of UV light to reduce fading over time. UV filtering glazing is a strong option for artwork, photos, certificates, and documents that need long-term display protection.

Plexiglass Glazing FAQ

Can I order custom cut plexiglass in an exact size?

Yes. We cut all plexiglass and acrylic glazing to your exact width and height, including fractions of an inch.

Is plexiglass safer than real glass for picture frames?

Yes. Plexiglass is lightweight and shatter-resistant, making it safer for high-traffic spaces and larger frames.

What thickness do you use for regular, non-glare, and UV filtering plexiglass?

All three options use .098 acrylic sheets: Regular Plexiglass, Non-glare Plexiglass, and UV Filtering Plexiglass.

What are the pros and cons of non-glare plexiglass?

Non-glare plexiglass reduces reflections from windows and overhead lights. The tradeoff is slightly softer image clarity compared to regular clear plexiglass.

How much UV protection does UV filtering plexiglass provide, and how long does it last?

Our UV filtering plexiglass helps block about 98% of UV light to reduce fading. Under normal indoor display conditions, that UV protection is designed for long-term use.
